Spend a Cracking Easter in London

We’ve been on the hunt for the most eggcellent events taking place across London this Easter, so to ensure that you have a cracking time, here are our top picks:

Hunt for giant ducks & Easter eggs

The Roof Gardens

Set 100ft above the hustle and bustle of the capital, hop on up to The Roof Gardens in Kensington on Sunday 5th April for their very special Easter Egg Hunt. Whilst you enjoy spectacular views of London’s skyline, your little ones can hunt for hidden chocolate treats under the watchful supervision of the Easter Bunny. In conjunction with bohemian chocolaterie Choccywoccydoodah, there will also be the chance for somebunny to win a rather special giant egg!

If you’re in need of some sanctuary, the London Wetland Centre is an oasis for the city’s people and birds, including some big yellow Easter ducks!  However, the ducklings have gone missing, and between Saturday 28th March and Sunday 12th April the GIANT Easter Duck Hunt is on. Take your little explorers around the beautiful nature trail and discover where the disguised ducklings are hiding.  A chocolate prize awaits if you spot them all.

Sugar and spice and all things not so nice

London Dungeon

Death by chocolate takes on a more sinister meaning at the Southbank this Easter.  Are you brave enough to play chocolate roulette and risk a mouthful of mustard at The London Dungeon? A frightfully popular attraction, from Saturday 28th March to Sunday 12th April Miss Edmunds, proprietor and poisoner will try and tempt you with creepy confectionary from her Victorian sweet shop.

If chilli and strychnine leave a nasty taste, scramble to one of London’s wonderfully decadent chocolatiers. Raising the (chocolate) bar in the heart of Notting Hill is Melt, a luxurious shop that is a feast for all of the senses. Fresh, handmade and exceedingly glam, Melt’s Easter collection is adorned with bold florals. Bringing banjo playing bunnies and praline filled hen’s eggs to the fore is the delectable Rococo. With artisanal shops in Chelsea, Marylebone and Belgravia, indulge in some of the UK’s finest cocoa.

Mad Hatter’s and curious hot cross cocktails

Now, no longer with a ‘members only’ policy, Mayfair’s illustrious Met Bar offers an eclectic and inventive cocktail list to be savoured. Take a seat in the intimate space and let the skilled mixologists create an ‘EqqSquisite Taste’ or ‘Hot Cross Bun’ cocktail for your delectation. Available throughout April, each one of the specialised Easter cocktails is just £12.

Head to Sloane Avenue in Chelsea on Thursday 17th April and you may just tumble down Bart’s Bar rabbit hole. The legendary speakeasy cocktail bar is hosting a Mad Hatter’s Hendrick’s Tea Party. An Alice in Wonderland-themed affair, from 6pm you can sip a curious gin tipple from a teacup and nibble on a divine cupcake whilst the winner of the festive fancy dress is drawn from a top hat. Curiouser and curiouser!
